Experience Pure Relaxation at Aqua Dome
Aqua Dome is located in Längenfeld, Austria, in the heart of the Ötztal Valley in Tyrol. Its thermal water comes from a depth of 1,865 metres and emerges at 34 to 36°C. The architecture is what stops you in your tracks — a futuristic glass-and-stone dome that looks like it landed in the alpine valley. The signature feature is the trio of elevated, bowl-shaped outdoor pools that float above the landscape. One holds sulphur water, refreshed every 15 minutes, with massage benches along the rim. Another is a brine pool with a five per cent salt concentration, underwater music, and light effects. The third is a massage bowl with jets and currents. You soak in these bowls with the Ötztal Alps all around you, and it feels like nothing else in Austria.
The thermal area spans 22,000 square metres and holds 12 indoor and outdoor pools. Inside the crystal dome, two large pools sit at 34°C and 36°C, plus a current channel pool. Outside, you get a 25-metre sport pool, a children’s pool, and two waterslides including a funnel slide. The sauna world is textile-free and has nine saunas: a loft sauna, gorge sauna, earth sauna, and hay barn sauna among them. There is a steam dome, a herbal bath, and several relaxation rooms. The wellness philosophy here is about total escape — you come for the views, the thermal water, and the chance to move between hot and cold without thinking about anything else. The spa also offers cosmetic treatments, massages, and a fitness centre with mountain views.
Aqua Dome works best for couples and solo travellers who want a calm, design-focused thermal experience. It also suits families, thanks to the dedicated Noah’s Alpine Ark children’s world with free child supervision, a water fun park, and play areas. Plan a full day — three hours is the minimum, but you will want longer. The standout feature is the three floating bowl pools. No other thermal spa in the Alps has them. They make Aqua Dome different, and they are the reason people drive into the Ötztal specifically for this place.

Health Benefits and Indications of Visiting Aqua Dome
Aqua Dome’s thermal water, sourced from 1,865 metres depth, is the foundation of its therapeutic benefits. The sulphur bowl, which refreshes with pure sulphur water every 15 minutes, makes this therme particularly effective for joint relief and rheumatic conditions. The brine bowl, with a five per cent salt concentration, supports detoxification and skin regeneration as you float weightlessly. The combination of mineral-rich water at 34-36°C and hydro-massage jets in the massage bowl helps relieve muscle tension and improve circulation.
