About Termas Vale da Mó

The first references of the hot spring in the village of Vale da Mó, in the municipality of Anadia, date from the 18th century. Its discovery is attributed to Father Manuel Almeida, which happened in 1730.
In the municipality of Anadia, clinging to the slopes of Serra do Caramulo, 250 meters above sea level, amid dense trees, almost at the eastern end of Bairrada, is the small village of Vale da Mó, with its great treasure: the hot springs of iron water.
The valley is a tortuous strip of land, squeezed between hills opulently dressed in pine and strawberry trees, with a rare mix of cork oaks, olive trees, acacias and eucalyptus, covered with the most varied undergrowth, making Vale da Mó a pleasant place for healing and rest. With a very dry, fog-free and temperate microclimate, it allows you to enjoy a beautiful and varied panorama.
Its location, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, invites you to rest and for curing states of nervous depression and fatigue, so common nowadays.
Take the opportunity to discover and enjoy other facets of the municipality of Anadia. Discover the gastronomic and wine riches, taste the traditional Leitão à Bairrada and visit the cellars of the Bairrada Route. Visit the city of Anadia, discover the Bairrada Wine Museum and the José Luciano de Castro Museum, and observe Bairrada from Monte Crasto.
In Sangalhos, be surprised by the Centro de Alto Rendimento – Velodromo Nacional and the Aliança Underground Museum, and, in Curia, travel to the “ belle époque ” at Parque das Termas and at the Palace .
